Does the treatment hurt?
Most people describe a quick snapping feeling, like a light rubber band flick. It’s usually mild, and settings are adjusted for your comfort.
How many sessions will I need?
Some people are happy after one, while others benefit from a series depending on the type and depth of their pigmentation. Sessions are usually around 4 weeks apart. We’ll give you an honest answer at your assessment.
When will I see results?
Treated spots often look darker for a few days, then gradually flake away over the following week or so. Results build over the weeks after treatment and vary from person to person.
What is the downtime like?
Minimal for most people. Expect some redness and warmth for a few hours, sometimes up to a day or two. Most return to normal activities the same day. Daily sun protection afterwards is essential.
Is it suitable for my skin type?
Suitability depends on your skin type, pigmentation and medical history, and it’s checked at your assessment. Let us know if you’re pregnant, have a recent tan or sunburn, or take medication that makes your skin sensitive to light.
Are there any risks?
All laser treatments carry some risk. Common effects are redness, swelling and temporary darkening of spots. Less commonly, blistering or patches of lighter or darker skin, which can be more likely in darker skin tones. Everything is explained before you consent. Individual results vary.
